…your work allowed you to live out your passion to help people?
At The Community Blood Center, every person on our team is part of a critical link that connects blood donors to patients who need it.
Because this work demands compassion and grit, we only hire people who want to be part of a tight-knit team united in the goal of saving lives. But the reward? You’ll leave work every day knowing you gave people in your community a chance to recover from injury, battle cancer, and fight disease.
Our employees get a complete set of benefits and valuable training to launch their careers in healthcare.
At The Community Blood Center, your work is the link to life for our community.
As a phlebotomist, you’ll draw blood from donors who aren’t showing up to get paid but want to give part of their life to a patient needing help.
As a lab team member, you’ll process hundreds of pints of blood every day that will be sent out to partnering hospitals.
Everyone on our team is part of a multi-step link that allows blood to move from donors to patients.

I help draw blood from volunteer donors. I decided to come to The Community Blood Center from a career as a CNA just to have more time with my family and different hours to work so I can enjoy a little bit more of my life.
For someone looking at working here I would encourage them to come and donate so they can take a look around and see what options are available for them.

“I was airlifted to Madison. I had open-heart surgery. I had a rare tumor in my right atrium so they needed to remove that. I figured with all the help I received I could give back [by working here].
We do help each other out because it is peoples’ lives in your hands.
I feel that I’m here to help people survive. I want to make sure it’s a good product because it could be going to my mother, my family, and I just realize it’s going to other peoples’ families. I want them to have a quality product to save their life.”

We do the testing, making sure everything is safe for people if they need to get blood transfused.
I think that I can really be myself here. The people you work with behind the scenes really do become your friends. It’s a really nice place to be yourself.
It’s a really great environment to work in. I like everyone I work with. They’re really easy-going. If you need help with family, like time off or anything like that we’re really good about working around that.
