The Community Blood Center embarks on its Summer Tour for All Types (S.T.A.T.)

June 5, 2024

It’s all about sharing life this summer with The Community Blood Center (CBC) so we’re hitting the road on the Summer Tour for All Types (S.T.A.T.)! With stops all across Wisconsin, Illinois and Upper Michigan, there’s a good chance you’ll have a nearby and convenient opportunity to donate blood in the coming months, including at our MASH events.

CBC provides blood to more than 40 hospitals—all in different communities with different blood transfusion needs. As CBC continues to grow, the importance of a diverse donor base also continues to grow. The best way to ensure we’re prepared to meet the blood needs of patients is by collecting blood right in their communities. When a donor base reflects the diversity of the population of a community and, therefore, patients being treated in local hospitals, we can provide the best possible blood matches for patients and best possible patient outcomes.

So, drumroll, please! Here’s a look at our S.T.A.T. lineup:

The summer months, traditionally, are a challenging time of the year for finding blood donors. At the same time, the need for blood often increases during the summer because of recreational injuries and traumas. S.T.A.T. goes beyond our usual summer MASH blood drives. While these events will continue as usual, CBC has added additional blood drives to the summer lineup to maintain a more stable blood supply throughout the upcoming months.
